Taperbushes & Clamping Elements

Taperlock/taperbush is a often used way to connect transmission components to a shaft. This type of bushing is standardized and we do have all standard shaftdimensions availble from stock. Even in imperial shaft dimensions.
Clamping elements are also beiing used more and more in new machinery. It reduces the machinery cost and is easy to assemble and disassemble.
When using clamping elements it is important that shaft dimensions meet the requirements as mentioned in the catalog, to be sure that the transmittable torque will be tranmitted. There are selfcentrating executions and not selfcentrating executions. In case of higher requirements to concentricity, the engineer should take that in account. In some cases also the axial positioning is required when fixing the clamping elements. For example in case of bevel gear sets or worm- and wormwheel sets. For these applications we also have standard executions available.
