De Veko is a high quality slipcoupling. The main difference between most common slipcouplings is that this coupling has relafively long springs and ballbearings. The longer springway of the springs has the advantage that  during wear of the frictions material, the sliptorque will reduce just mimimal,  in comparison to the springdisks.

Further the Veko has standard rollerbearings and no sleevebearings, so it will last longer during slip. The surfacepressure on the friction material is activated by the springs and will keep the tension between the hubflange and the outerflange.
